Milford Wedding | Marielle & Miles

A Warm and Colorful Backyard Milford Wedding

Marielle and Miles celebrated their Milford wedding right in the backyard of their beautiful new home. The October weather was perfect—cool, sunny, and filled with the golden glow of fall. Like many Michigan locals, I adore this season. The colors, crisp air, and slower pace create the best wedding backdrop.

They set up a white tent for the ceremony, surrounded by colorful trees and soft leaves crunching under guests’ feet. The wedding party wore fall colors—a lovely brick red. It looked stunning against the green grass and changing leaves. These thoughtful details made the day feel intentional and deeply personal.

Even better, the backyard setting added comfort and warmth. Friends and family laughed, cried, and celebrated in a space that already held meaning. Without a doubt, this Milford wedding felt like home in the best way.

Downtown Milford Gave Us the Perfect Photo Spots

After the ceremony, we made our way to downtown Milford for wedding party portraits. This small downtown has charm around every corner. Brick buildings, painted signs, and tree-lined sidewalks offered the perfect variety of photo backdrops.

One fun surprise? We kept spotting the letter “M” on signs and storefronts—perfect for Marielle and Miles. It made the photos feel even more personal. The symmetry of their names with the town’s details was a sweet little touch that tied it all together. From there we headed to Central Park to capture some riverside photos.

If you’re planning a Milford wedding, I can’t recommend this combo enough. A backyard ceremony brings intimacy and ease, while downtown adds fun and variety. Together, it creates a wedding day that’s both relaxed and beautiful—just like this one.
