I’ve known Jade for a while now—we used to play roller derby together back when I lived in Jackson! Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing different milestones for her family, from senior photos for her little sister to her son’s senior portraits. Nestled on a scenic hilltop, this 1916 farmhouse (which was lovingly restored in 2017) backs up to a beautiful apple orchard, with the soothing sounds of Lake Michigan waves in the background. It provided the perfect mix of rustic charm and natural beauty—ideal for an unforgettable celebration.
The Dreamiest Vintage Tablescape
Jade, who owns the incredible Moonrise Vintage Shop, brought their impeccable style to the wedding design. Every single piece of tableware was thrifted by Jade themselves, creating a tablescape that felt both curated and deeply personal. The combination of vintage glassware, mismatched china, and elegant details made this one of my favorite setups to date.
