Pine Knob Mansion Wedding | Gabi & Dion

Pine Knob Mansion

I say this a lot, but a Pine Knob Mansion wedding is truly breathtaking! The venue is absolutely stunning in every way. Every corner is perfect for photos, and the views are unbelievable. The Pine Knob Mansion sits on the highest point in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. I learned that during Dion and Gabi’s ceremony!

Their late-August wedding was gorgeous. I can only imagine how stunning it looks in the fall! The natural light in the bridal suite is incredible. It’s soft, airy, and a dream for photographers. My assistant and I still talk about how perfect this venue is. I truly cannot wait to photograph another wedding here!

Dion & Gabi’s Dreamy Wedding Day

Now, let’s talk about Dion and Gabi! Gabi wore two incredible dresses—one for the ceremony and one for dancing. Both fit her perfectly, and she looked absolutely stunning. I completely understand why she chose two dresses!

And her veil—wow! Brides, a long, flowing veil is always a photographer’s dream. Just wait until you see the photo of it blowing in the wind! It’s truly magical.

After dinner, Gabi changed into her second dress. Then, she and Dion had their first dance under Einstein lights. The back patio created the perfect romantic setting. It was a beautiful moment and the perfect way to start the party!

There’s something about holding a photo in your hands. Scrolling through your wedding photos on a phone or laptop is convenient, but nothing compares to flipping through an album, feeling the weight of each page, and watching your story unfold in print. I know this firsthand. My grandpa’s old Polaroids still sit on my shelf….

For being one of the more popular locations I photograph at in Ann Arbor, surprisingly I had not photographed a Matthaei Botanical Gardens wedding before Amanda and Mark’s big day.
