Addison Wedding | Jen & Scott

Before I even met Jen and Scott in person, I knew we were going to have fun! We chatted for months leading up to their fire department engagement session, then continued well after their Addison wedding. I helped with different decisions from outfit choices to the wedding timeline. That’s the thing as a wedding photographer, we have been there through many different circumstances. We can help with all sorts of things! You need me to kick out everyone from the getting ready room so you can get dressed? I got you! No one knows how to bustle your dress? Yep, I can do that too!

Tears of Joy

I love first looks of all kinds. They’re such an intimate moment between people and doesn’t have to be between you and your future spouse. We did a first look with Jen, her son, parents, Scott’s mom, and her bridesmaids. Everyone was prepared to for her to be stunning, but I don’t think anyone was prepared for her son to be overcome with emotion. Our hearts just melted as tears started streaming down his face and Jen went to embrace him. He is such a sweetheart; you can tell that Jen did things right with him.

Turn Up the Heat at the Addison Wedding

Once their vows were exchanged, it was time to get the party started! And let me tell you, those firefighters know how to party. Just before sunset, I stole Jen and Scott away to take photos of just the two of them at McCourtie Park. Scott had me dying the whole time with his hilarious banter and funny faces he was making. I love taking couples out for sunset photos like that to give them a break from the hustle and bustle, and just enjoy each other for a little bit. When we were done there, we headed back to their Addison wedding to do their sparkler send off, complete with a fire truck. I was like a kid in a candy store. Yep, totally nerded out on some fire truck photos! It was the perfect ending to a great wedding day.
