Rives Junction Wedding | Savannah & Richard

Family-Filled Moments at a Rives Junction Wedding

Savannah and Richard’s Rives Junction wedding was one of those days that stays with you long after you pack up your camera. Taking place in the backyard of Savannah’s parents’ home, the setting felt warm, inviting, and perfectly personal. From the moment I arrived, both of their families welcomed me with open arms. The kind of greeting that made it feel like I had known them forever. That sense of connection set the tone for the rest of the day. The laughter and hugs between loved ones gave this Rives Junction wedding the atmosphere of a big family reunion.

The afternoon started with an emotional first look between Savannah and her dad. I’ve always been a daddy’s girl myself, so watching the way he looked at his daughter hit me in all the feels. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight—mine included. Even though the wedding took place in early November, a cozy tent in the yard kept everyone warm. The comfortable atmosphere created the perfect space for heartfelt vows. When Savannah and Richard officially became husband and wife, the celebration moved outside. A bonfire crackled, offering guests a place to gather and enjoy the crisp fall air. A s’mores bar was set up nearby, adding a playful and nostalgic touch that fit the season perfectly.

Dances That Tugged at the Heartstrings

Once everyone had eaten and shared stories around the tables, it was time for the dances. Moments that would make this Rives Junction wedding unforgettable. Savannah and Richard’s first dance was beautiful, full of smiles and soft whispers meant only for each other. But it was Savannah’s dance with her dad that really pulled at the heartstrings. You could see in every movement just how much love and pride was wrapped up in that moment. It was such an honor to capture.

Then came Richard’s dance with his mom, and I’ll be honest—I was not prepared for how much it would move me. They danced to “Her Little Man” by Jami Grooms. From the first verse, I was a mess behind my camera. The lyrics spoke about a mother loving her son through every stage of life. From celebrating his growth while cherishing the memories of when he was little. It was one of those rare wedding moments that completely stops you in your tracks. I even asked the DJ for the song title and added it to my own playlist before I left.

As the night wound down, guests laughed around the fire, enjoyed their s’mores, and shared stories under the November sky. This wasn’t just a wedding—it was a celebration of love, family, and the joining of two worlds in the warmest, most genuine way. That’s the magic of a Rives Junction wedding—it’s not just about the “I do’s,” it’s about the moments in between that you’ll carry with you forever.
