I know I say this a LOT, but the Pine Knob Mansion has to be one of the most gorgeous venues I have ever had the pleasure of photographing! There wasn’t a “bad” spot on the whole grounds, and the view was to die for! It wasn’t until Dion and Gabi’s ceremony that I knew the Pine Knob Mansion sat on the highest point in the lower peninsula. Their wedding was at the end of August, but I can only image how much MORE stunning it would be when the leaves have changed. The natural light that the bridal suite has is pure perfection, seriously the whole place is any wedding photographer’s dream. My assistant and I still talk about how perfect the place was, the Pine Knob Mansion is one venue that I can NOT wait to photograph at again!
Enough about the venue, let’s talk about Dion and Gabi! She had two incredible dresses she wore; one for the ceremony and then she changed just before the first dance and stayed in the second dress the remainder of the reception. Each dress fit her like a glove and was just as beautiful as she was, I can totally see why she chose to have two. And her veil! Bride’s, if there is anything a wedding photographer loves to see, it is a long, floor length veil. Wait until you scroll down and see the image of it blowing in the wind, it doesn’t get more perfect than that! Once dinner was over and Gabi had changed, they shared their first dance under the Einstein lights on the back patio area. It was a great beginning to the rest of the fun-filled night.
