When Shay and Kyle chose downtown Brighton for their engagement session, I knew the Mill Pond would shine. This engagement location offers a perfect mix of water views, charming alleys, and lively summer energy. Even on a busy Saturday night, we found hidden corners that gave us the chance to slow down and capture their connection.
We started their session along the Tridge, the iconic bridge that frames the pond beautifully. The hustle and bustle of downtown Brighton surrounded us, but Shay and Kyle only had eyes for each other. Warm sunlight sparkled across the water, and their laughter made the evening feel easy and fun. This is why I love the Brighton Mill Pond, it brings a natural beauty to every engagement session.
Ice Cream, Hidden Corners, and Downtown Strolls
After finishing by the pond, we wandered into downtown Brighton for ice cream. Of course, everyone else had the same idea on this ninety-degree day, so the shop was packed. That ended up being perfect, though, because waiting gave us a chance to slow down. Once they had their cones, we ducked into a shady alley where they shared bites, melted ice cream dripped down, and the laughter continued. These simple moments captured who they are together—playful, sweet, and completely in sync.
Downtown Brighton always surprises me with little hidden gems for photos. Colorful alleys, shady corners, and lively backdrops all add variety to a session. We wrapped up the evening back near the Amp, where the last bit of sunlight gave us one more chance to capture something special. Their Brighton Mill Pond engagement felt full of summer energy, but also filled with those small in-between moments that truly tell a love story.
