THE EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM

Wedding dates book up quickly, I’m already booking well into next year, so I try to be as fair as possible, dates are reserved on a first come, first served basis. If I receive an inquiry about the same date from two couples, we will have a Medieval duel, like full on joust style, just kidding, but that would kind of be hilarious. I will contact the couple that submitted their information first to see if they are ready to book. If not, then the second couple would have the next priority.

Are you getting married outside of Michigan? No problem! I’m available for weddings anywhere in the United States.

Whether you’re newly engaged, celebrating an anniversary, or just want to capture your love story as it is right now, a couples session is the perfect way to freeze those special moments in time. These sessions are fun, relaxed, and all about showcasing your unique connection.

An engagement session is also a great chance for us to get to know each other before the wedding day, helping you feel totally comfortable in front of the camera. Plus, you’ll have beautiful, authentic photos to use for save-the-dates, your wedding website, or simply to frame and cherish at home. Let’s create something magical together!

QUESTIONS?

The typical turnaround time is 6-8 weeks. However during the busy season of August thru October, you can expect galleries to take a little longer, roughly 8-12 weeks. It’s too exciting to see your photos to wait that long, so I do my best to send sneak peeks within one week.

Each time I have to travel is different, I would be happy to give you a custom quote for travel charges. What I take into consideration is the cost of lodging, how many nights I will need to stay, mileage, meals, rental vehicle, and airfare. I do try to keep travel costs to a minimum where I can. Fees are applicable to wedding locations outside of Michigan and portrait sessions further than 50 miles from 48169.

Yes, all my packages include professional editing and retouching to ensure your photos look their best. I like to keep photos very true to life. My philosophy is that I don’t edit out things that will still be there in two weeks. A blemish here and there or sometimes a distracting item from the background, but I preach body positivity and celebrate everyone’s differences, bodies of all shapes and sizes are welcome here so I do not Photoshop someone to make them thinner or more voluptuous.

A non-refundable retainer of $500 (or 50% for portrait sessions) is due upon signing the contract to reserve your wedding date. Any remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your wedding. Payment plans are gladly accepted, and I am more than happy to work with you on setting up a plan that works for your budget.

Heck yes, I got you! If you’re worried about posing or feeling awkward in front of the camera, don’t sweat it—that’s what I’m here for. I’ll guide you with fun, easy prompts that not only help with posing but also spark genuine emotions and interactions. Whether it’s a playful laugh, a sweet glance, or a spontaneous moment you didn’t even realize was happening, I’ll be there to capture the authentic moments.

My goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident so your photos reflect you—natural, authentic, and full of the real connection you share. By the end of the session, you’ll forget the camera is even there and just enjoy being in the moment with your favorite person.

In my 17 years of business, I’ve never canceled a wedding contract (knock on wood—I don’t want to jinx myself just saying this!). Short of being on my literal deathbed, I will absolutely be there for your big day. And even in that extreme case, I’ve built strong connections over the years with talented photographers I trust completely to step in and make sure your wedding is in the best hands.

That said, if for any reason I had to cancel, you’d receive a full refund of anything you’ve paid. But honestly? I’m the kind of person who will work through just about anything—one of my second photographers can tell you all about the time I powered through an 8-hour day walking on a sprained ankle. I’m committed to being there for you, no matter what, because I would never leave you hanging on your wedding day.
