I’ll Tell You, But First Coffee…
No, for real! I’m a mother of three little ones, I run on caffeine, so lets grab a cup and we can chat about your wedding. If you’re not local or you have a crazy busy schedule (I mean who doesn’t?) I totally get that, we can schedule a Zoom call. We will discuss your timeline and I will bring albums from past wedding couples for you to browse. If in the end you think we’re going to be BFF’s, and lets be honest, you’re amazing so we will, then we can make it official! We’ll go over all the boring legal stuff, sign the contract, and after a $300 retainer I will be all yours for the day.
I want to you to be totally comfortable in front of the camera and there’s no better way to do so except to jump in feet first with an engagement session. In my experience, an engagement session will help you get used to being photographed before your wedding and you’ll get to see how I work. I have included one in most collections, it is not a requirement by any means, but I HIGHLY suggest taking advantage of it.
From there I will email you periodically up until your wedding with some helpful planning tips. About a month before your big day, you’ll receive an invoice for any remaining balance and a questionnaire. This online form will tell me all the important things about your wedding including VIP guests, must see details, and the who’s who for family photos. I always print out a copy for my assistant, and I have a digital version at my fingertips to reference throughout the day.
Lets Do This! #weddingday
Woohoo, it’s finally here! I can’t wait to share this day with you. I’ll get there a couple minutes early to get things situated and do a quick walk though scoping out prime photo locations. My assistant photographer will be hanging out with your partner and together we’ll coordinate so no one sees each other before they’re supposed to.
As your photographer, I’m literally with you for the majority of the day. See why we need to be BFF’s?! And this isn’t my first rodeo, so if you need help bustling your dress, folding your pocket square, or just need a drink…NOW! I’m there to help in any way possible. Speaking of rodeos, when it’s time for the family photos, my assistant or I will wrangle everyone to their places and ensure we stay on schedule.
Now all the formalities are done, it’s time to get this party started! I work closely with your DJ to be right in the middle of all the action for the best photos. I’ll make sure our timelines match up and if anything has changed during the course of the day, to let each other know.
Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff
If the festivities end up running behind and go past our scheduled end time, I definitely get it. I always allow a half an hour flexibility if needed. Before I head off for the night, I’ll check in with the two of you for any last minute photos you might want captured. Usually within the week following your wedding, I will post a sneak peek of the images on social media. The remaining images will be delivered via online gallery roughly 6-8 weeks later. During prime season (August through October), the delivery times may be a little longer.
Natalie is a true artist. She photographed our engagement shoot as well as our wedding and, we couldn’t be happier with her work. We used a historic venue for our ceremony, Greenmead in Livonia. Natalie captured the true spirit of that magical place and gave us memories to cherish. We found Natalie at a LGBTQ wedding expo and she proved herself to be not only professional but open and accepting, which is so important for members of our community. Thank you Natalie for your beautiful work. I have and will continue to recommend her to others.

Story Time: Growing Old Together
All of my collections come with a wedding album or book and there’s a reason for that. One of my favorite memories growing up is of my grandfather and looking at all the Polaroid photos he had taken over the years. When he passed away and we were cleaning out his house, we found a photo of him when he was two years old, that was printed in 1930! My parents still have that photo in their house today and I can show my kids what their great-grandpa looked like. How amazing is that?! In a digital age, where technology is literally changing every second, imagine years down the road what would happen if your computer died or your hard drive broke. Do you really want all of your wedding photos lost? It costs thousands of dollars for recovery services if your hard drive fails, so I want you to have a beautiful, heirloom album in your hands that you and your grand kids, or even great-grand kids can look through.
