Aaron & Brian | Quincy Wedding

March 4, 2020

Hurricane Irma disrupted a lot of lives when she traveled through in early September. But the devastation that she caused on the island of St. Thomas in the Caribbean had Aaron and Brian scrambling to change their original wedding plans. They ended up rearranging everything to have an October wedding and get married in Michigan instead. It was all hands on deck to make it happen! Rearranging wedding plans had their parents finished building a pole barn way ahead of schedule. All so they could host Aaron and Brian’s country chic wedding. An incredible amount of love and effort went into making their day perfect.

Even after all of that, the two of them couldn’t dodge the rain. It poured down from the sky during their October wedding but that didn’t matter one bit. They braved the weather and we were able to get some incredible images of them amidst the raindrops and the fall foliage. There was a tunnel of trees nearby that provided just enough cover that we didn’t get soaked. I managed to capture a few drops in their images, I couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect setting. It was a stunning location for their wedding photos!

Never have I seen a pole barn so completely transformed into such an elegant space like at Aaron and Brian’s wedding. They did an amazing job creating a warm environment filled with love from their family and friends. During their vows there wasn’t a dry eye in the room, including my own, but I’m pretty sure I cry at every wedding anyway. It was a mix of industrial with steel chandeliers and lanterns, softened by the beautiful tulle draping.
