One newborn is cute enough, but newborn twins?! Seriously, that qualifies as cuteness overload. Renesmee and CJ were only 18 days fresh, but it’s very clear that they are already the best of friends. On their own they were just a bit fussy, however when they were laid down together in the studio they calmed right down. I just adore how CJ would curl right into Renesmee and cuddle, at one point they were even holding each other’s hands. There’s definitely a bond between newborn twins that can never be broken.
Newborn portraits are best done within 14 days of birth, but sometimes babies come a wee bit early so photos can be done a few days outside that 14 day window if need be. When you are planning to schedule newborn photos, then it is typically good to book them within 5 days of your due date. As an Ann Arbor newborn photographer, I understand that babies don’t always play by the rules and come when they are expected, that’s why I always allow for a little wiggle room in my schedule for newborns. By doing things that way I can make sure to capture them in all of their newborn squishy goodness. Also, I know being a new parent can be exhausting, so I travel to you. This ensures that baby is comfortable in a familiar environment and you have everything within reach to soothe them when they become fussy. Lastly, newborn sessions tend to run a little longer than the average portrait session, and that’s completely acceptable. Little ones need to be fed and changed and fed again, so I have built in extra time to each session to allow for this.
